HAIL is a 3D third-person melee combat game set in Ancient Rome, Egypt and Germania.

HAIL has been developed by the 2002 Diploma 2 of Advanced Computer Game Development students at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment.

The game was started in February 2002 and the beta version was presented to the public at the Australian Game Developers Conference held in Melbourne, Australia, December 2002.

The entire game, including design, game engine, networking, characters, levels and animation has been created by our group of 20 students in 10 months.

 


Febuary 27 th 2003
Lorien has put alot of work into creating a download version of HAIL which is 63Mb, compared to 180Mb of the full version. The download version has one level and six characters while the CD version has four levels and eighteen characters.

December 8th 2002
The HAIL beta was previewed at the Australian Game Developers Conference and recieved alot of positive feedback. Read what Bennett Ring had to say about the AGDC and HAIL in particular.
